Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. Burrell was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and pumped-up personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best restaurants within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy and competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and food from an early age. After earning an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had my most memorable time in my life. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a great place to study. After graduation, chef Burrell spent a time in Italy attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions during her stay in Italy, which has influenced her style of cooking. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids with disabilities. She has been a frequent presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation as part of her mentorship task. Anne declared that she felt fortunate in that she could share her true passion with the people around her.
